The Children of Vietnam Benevolent Foundation

Giving Hope & Opportunities

The Children of Vietnam Benevolent Foundation (CVBF) is a Registered Canadian Charity founded in 2013 by Dr. Nhung Tran-Davies, a physician and writer, who came to Canada at the age of five as a refugee from the Vietnam War. Seeing the continued struggles of many children in Vietnam today is difficult for her and many of her friends who had also come to Canada as refugees nearly forty years ago. Together they are now working to pay forward the kindness and generosity they received from the many Canadians who sponsored and helped them.

What they do

CVBF's Mission & Activities

The Foundation’s mission is to improve the lives of impoverished children in Vietnam by giving them hope and opportunities through love, education and the provision of basic needs. To date, the Children of Vietnam Benevolent Foundation has helped thousands of children and orphans throughout Vietnam with scholarships, school supplies, library books, bicycles, wheelchairs, hearing aids, basic food and clothing and much more. They have also built schools in the impoverished regions.

Although their primary focus is on helping children in Vietnam, the Foundation has also expanded its mandate recently to include helping children in need both in Canada and around the world.
